Welcome!
This is the website for the University of Manchester’s Physics Society or Physsoc for short. It is a widely held myth that all physicists are isolated socially awkward shut-ins who do vector calculus for fun – and if we’re perfectly honest there is a grain of truth in that. However Physsoc is where such stereotypes are gladly tossed aside with hands on hips and a musketeer’s laugh – it is the social side of the physics department.
We meet every Wednesday during term time at 1pm in the Schuster Building Physics Library. Feel free to come along, we don’t bite!
